AA. Thoddoo LAC. LTD. — the first of its kind was registered on 19th December 2022, in accordance with the Local Authority Company regulation. A decision of Thoddoo council for the betterment of Thoddoo island community.
Minister Fayyaz Ismail noted the importance of empowering councils to establish local authority companies to catalyze economic opportunities in local communities. This is a mechanism to bear risks to develop sustainable solutions tailormade for the community’s needs.
