The Ministry of Economic Development in collabration with the State Bank of India has facilitated a US$ 20 million credit facility granted by the Indian government to ease dollar shortage by the maldivian Businessmen.

Credit facility equivalent to US$ 17 Million has been granted so far.

The Ministry has made arrangements to grant the remaining US$ 3 Million credit facility from the 16th of May 2010 by State Bank of India.

Those traders who are desirous of obtaining credit under this credif facility should approach the State Bank of India. Do note that the same terms of the previous shall apply to the current facility as well.
