The oldest bilateral arrangement is the Trade Agreement signed between the Government of the Republic of Maldives and the Government of the Republic of India signed in March 1981. In July 2006, Maldives signed a preferential Zero Tariff Agreement with the Government of the People’s Republic of China. This Agreement is in effect from 1st of February 2009. In more recent time, on 17th October 2009, Maldives signed a Trade and Investment Framework Agreement with the United States of America. |
